An overshare? Maybe….

I've been working in the ‘wellness’ industry since 2018 and whilst I LOVE the practices - honestly, Ayurveda, Pilates and Yoga have CHANGED MY LIFE - I can confidently say, I am NOT all love and light. Over the years I have become acutely aware just how unwell this space can be. I've experienced dodgy hands-on assists by male yogis, I've witnessed first hand spiritual bypassing and gaslighting ‘so what is it about my nudity that triggers you’, yuck. And lets not even get into how many leading ‘guru’ figures have been exposed for abuse… or how many teacher trainings have actually just been sex cults in disguise.

So, why am I saying this?

I have experienced first hand how disappointing at best, dangerous at worst, the well-being space can be BUT ALSO I am so passionate about how deeply supportive and often, how essential these practices can be at times.

My approach as a practitioner and facilitator is to share from a place of authenticity and to distance myself from anything that feels performative. I don't suggest you meditate so you can be calm in all situations, or to practice yoga so we can pretend life is great ‘if you just change your perspective’. I am a realist, and I like to think, I am an active participant in our world - and if you haven't noticed the world is pretty messed up right now.

In all honestly I believe a lot of our collective apathy is actually because so many of us are just AT CAPACITY; isolated, without enough support, living completely outside ourselves, without connection to our intuition and let's be honest, struggling through very unjust and horrifying times.

And it's not entirely our fault.

We live in a system that encourages disconnection from ourselves, tells us to mistrust our deep knowing, celebrates materials gains and casually pits us against one another.

For me, simplifying my life, keeping well with regular movement, getting outside as much as possible, having genuine human connection, keeping curious and open minded, prioritising home-cooked food, seeking joy, never resisting rest and treading gently on the world is THE POINT OF IT ALL.

So what I am saying is.

I am in this space offering immersive Ayurveda retreats, workshops, teacher trainings and consultations ….YES.

BUT…

“my approach isn’t about softening you so you can be passive and all love and light.”

I share these practices and ancient wisdoms to help you build up your strength and energy reserves, to reconnect to your inner knowing and to live in true alignment. I want us all to feel so vital that we have full capacity to live boldly and take on whatever shit this funny old world throws our way without crumbling to ash.

Modern society thrives when we are small, so if you are ready to live boldly, to take up space, to be a better friend, be an active member in your community, if you want to have the tough conversations without shrinking, to understand your worth, if you want to be kinder to yourself and thrive in this beautiful life, then me too.

Let's go through it together. You are in the right place.
